Jim McClintock – Managing Partner
As a seasoned and accomplished business leader, Jim brings a balanced blend of corporate (Citibank, SunTrust, BellSouth) and entrepreneurial experience to his role as Managing Partner of NewGround Technologies. His career spans two industries – financial services and information technology – and multiple functional roles including sales, business development, finance, product development/management, strategic planning, corporate development/M&A and information technology. More recently, Jim led the startup of a broadband communications service provider in Canada (Cypress Communications), served on the Board of Directors and as CFO for a startup information security software company (GuardedNet) and advised a hosted telecom billing software company (Exceleron Software) as a strategic consultant in repositioning its web-based, software-as-a-service offering for the retail electricity providers marketplace. He is also serves as Strategic Advisor to Look-Listen, an Atlanta-based, full service digital design studio.
Jim maintains an active role in the Atlanta business community through continual networking, as well as through his memberships in Technology Association of Georgia and the Wireless Technology Forum.
Jim received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ann McClintock – Partner
Ann currently serves as Director of Human Resources for Definition 6, one of the fastest-growing unified marketing agencies in the country. Ann has built and managed recruiting and human resources functions for other fast-growing agencies in the past, helping organizations scale domestically and internationally by recruiting top level talent and establishing human resources best practices. She has an extensive network of advertising and digital agency relationships, strong recruitment and HR background, and related technology industry experience, including stints as Director of Recruiting and Human Resources at LBi Atlanta and Human Resources and Recruiting Manager for Studiocom.
Ann is actively involved in the Atlanta business community as a member of the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AiMA), The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Women In Technology (WIT), Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and Southern Center for International Studies.
Ann has an international background and is fluent in Spanish, speaks conversational Portuguese and basic Mandarin Chinese. Ann earned her B.A. in Spanish/Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
